Our team

Our team has over 40 years of collective experience in delivering high quality work in all areas that we offer. Our team is comprised of solicitors, trainee solicitors, associates and paralegals. Paralegals, associates and trainee solicitors do much of the day to day work on cases. Although they are not legally qualified, they have the requisite experience and have received extensive training within our firm and work under the direct supervision of a solicitor. We always make sure that paralegals and associates are supported and supervised appropriately so that the quality of our service is not affected, regardless of who is working on your case.

 

There will always be more than one team member working on your matter. This is to ensure that the progress of your matter is not affected due to any eventuality. Regardless of who works on your matter, there will always be a qualified solicitor supervising the conduct of your matter. We have a proven track record in achieving successful outcomes for our clients.

Our Partners

Dr. Aamir Nawaz

Partner & Solicitor

Dr. Nawaz has qualification in multiple jurisdictions as Solicitor and Barrister (np) and Notary Public of England & Wales, and Solicitor (np) of Republic of Ireland.

Irfan Rashid

Partner & Solicitor

Mr. Rashid is a known and respected practising solicitor, having completed his LLB at Nottingham Trent University, the LPC at BPP University in Manchester, and the LLM in Corporate Law.

Emma Loh

Partner & Solicitor

Miss. Loh joined Trent Law as a paralegal and gained experience in a variety of Family Law and Private Client matters, among others. She is a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University, where she studied law and University of Sheffield where she went on to study the Legal Practice Course.

Richard Dobson

Partner & Solicitor

Mr. Dobson joined Trent Law in 2018 as a Partner having previously being a Consultant. He gained an undergraduate Law degree from Leicester University before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1977.

Jack Cooper

Associate

Mr. Cooper started his legal career at Trent Law as a legal assistant and subsequently promoted to an Associate role in 2021, he works at the Nottingham Office. 

John Maple

Associate

Mr. Maple started his role as a paralegal at Trent Law in 2020, before being offered a position as a Trainee Solicitor. He is based in the head office in Nottingham, where he deals with Property Law matters including sales, purchasers, and re-mortgages.

Karisma Barot

Associate

Miss. Barot graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Law with Psychology in 2015 then went on to work at Browne Jacobson and, in 2017, completed her Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws at Nottingham Trent University.

Kiran Gill

Associate

Miss. Gill has started her legal career with Trent Law as a Paralegal. She is based in the Derby office. Miss. Gill has a keen interest in Property and currently works on conveyancing matters.

Sophie Lydon

Associate

Miss Lydon is an Associate in the Property team assisting the head of Property. She deals mostly with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity often dealing with well-established clients and referrers

Sarah Acland

Senior Associate

Mrs. Acland has previously worked in the financial services sector for 27 years, before a change of career led her to law. She joined Trent Law in September 2018 after gaining experience at Beightons Solicitors and Wykes O’Donnell Williams Solicitors.

Syed Saeed

Senior Associate

Mr. Saeed joined Trent Law in 2017 as deputy operations manager due to his wealth of experience in management. He gained this experience working in the security industry for a number of years holding operational and managerial positions. Mr. Saeed was then promoted to the role of operations manager for Nottingham Office in April 2019.

Alyssa Cort

Legal Assistant

Miss. Cort is a legal assistant based in the Nottingham office where she assists senior practitioners with their caseload. She is predominantly involved in conveyancing sales, purchases, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.

Heena Rana

Legal Assistant

Miss. Rana has graduated from De Montfort University with a degree in Criminology. This has spurred her interests in the legal sector. She began her legal career at Trent Law in 2021 and has focused on Property Law. She is interested in expanding her knowledge across multiple areas of law.

Nadia Khalifa

Legal Assistant

Miss. Khalifa graduated from City University of London with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2018, before she went on to complete her Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws, at Nottingham Trent University.

Nathan Slaney

Legal Assistant

Mr. Slaney graduated from the University of Chester with a degree in Archaeology with History in 2010. After working a variety of roles, he joined Trent Law in 2021 as a Legal Assistant. He works at the Nottingham Office assisting the team.
