Notary Public & Apostille Services
When dealing with overseas matters, it is often a requirement to have documents authenticated by a Notary Public. A notary’s role is to prepare, validate, and certify documents with an official seal, making them legally recognised abroad.
Notary Public Services
At Trent Law (Solicitors), our notary services are provided through Trent Notary Limited by Dr. Aamir Nawaz, a qualified Notary Public authorised to practise throughout England and Wales.
Based in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, we act for clients across the Midlands and Yorkshire, and appointments can be arranged at our offices or, by prior agreement, at your premises.

When Do You Need a Notary Public?
If you are involved in international transactions or personal matters abroad, a Notary Public may be required. Common examples include:
-
Powers of Attorney for use overseas.
-
Documents for use in foreign courts.
-
Business contracts or company documents.
-
Academic certificates for study abroad.
-
Travel consent for children.
-
Property transactions outside the UK.
Some countries accept a notary’s certificate alone. Others also require an Apostille — an international certificate issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office under the Hague Convention. Certain jurisdictions may also require further consular legalisation.
At Trent Notary, we can handle the entire process for you — from notarisation to Apostille to consular legalisation and onward couriering abroad.
