Mr Gurpreet Swali is a Legal Associate at Trent Law, bringing a diverse and commercially focused legal background across multiple sectors. He completed both his LLB (Hons) and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, establishing a strong academic and practical foundation in law.

Mr Swali began his legal career at the Ministry of Justice, where he gained experience in criminal law and legal aid. He subsequently progressed into telecommunications infrastructure and commercial property law, acting as a paralegal for Openreach Limited, the UK’s largest telecommunications infrastructure provider. During this time, he developed significant technical expertise and commercial awareness, particularly in relation to wayleave agreements, deeds, and licences.

His role involved managing matters from initial instruction through to completion, liaising with RICS-certified surveyors, coordinating with planners, and drafting and negotiating agreements with opposing solicitors. He has handled a high volume of transactions involving local authorities, government bodies, investment groups, and major commercial organisations, contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK.

Since joining Trent Law, Mr Swali has broadened his practice to include residential and commercial conveyancing, powers of attorney, landlord and tenant matters, immigration law, and notarial services. He continues to develop his expertise across these areas, delivering a high standard of service with a pragmatic and client-focused approach.
